Welcome to Infrastructure
Infrastructure plans, designs, and manages (in
conjunction with other City operating departments) the rehabilitation
and enhancement of the City's infrastructure and public facilities, including:
City buildings and park facilities
- 155 miles of roadway
- 8 miles of levees
- 567 miles of pipelines
- 64 pump stations
- 12 water tanks with a 21-million gallon storage capacity
- Over 13 miles of creeks, drainage ditches, and canals
The division also provides engineering plan review of private development projects and subdivisions.
In 2010 Engineering will:
- Update the City's Engineering Standards
- Implement Sanitary Sewer Master Plan projects
- Prepare a Water Master Plan
- Write a new Creek Bank Ordinance and submit to Council
- Conduct a comprehensive evaluation of the downtown parking facility operation
